What Orion does

The problem

A learner can repeat a term without understanding the link between ideas. A normal quiz can mark an answer as right or wrong. It often does not show the missing link.

Orion uses a teach-back. The learner teaches the idea to a named audience. The system checks the response against a goal-specific rubric. The learner reviews the evidence before memory becomes searchable.

The difference

Orion treats memory as a permissioned learning record.

  • A model can propose a gap.
  • A model cannot approve a memory.
  • A learner can correct the gap.
  • A learner can forget the stored memory.
  • A later mission can show the effect of retrieved memory.

What Orion is not

Orion is not:

  • a student ranking system;
  • a source of verified facts without evidence;
  • a voice recording service;
  • a hidden model fallback;
  • a permanent learner profile across devices.

The visible model

The constellation is a map of state. A star can represent a mission, quest, attempt, evidence object, gap, intervention, artifact, or portal.

Position and motion are visual aids. They do not represent truth, confidence, or learner value. The accessible Graph in words view exposes the same nodes and relationships as text.

The short story

  1. A learner says what they want to learn.
  2. Orion proposes a small map.
  3. The learner approves the map.
  4. The learner views a quest before starting it.
  5. The learner teaches the idea by text or local Whisper draft.
  6. Orion returns a proposal with evidence and a score.
  7. The learner decides what to save.
  8. Orion retrieves confirmed memory on a later run.
