Manual walkthrough¶
Use the live production path for this walkthrough. The first request can take several seconds and uses the configured provider.
1. Create a goal¶
Open:
Enter:
- your name;
- a topic;
- the outcome you want;
- the audience for your explanation.
Add background when it helps. Select Generate learning map.
2. Review the map¶
The map is a proposal. Rename a node when its label is not clear. Remove a node when it does not belong. Read the relationship list. Select Approve this map when the map is useful.
Approval makes the map visible. It does not create memory.
3. Inspect a quest¶
Select a quest star. The inspector shows View quest details.
Select it. The panel shows:
- the quest label;
- the quest description;
- the mission title;
- the mission prompt;
- the audience;
- the scaffold;
- the status Preview · not started.
The preview does not show a response field, timer, or voice controls. It does not send a command to the backend.
4. Begin the response¶
Select Begin teach-back when you want to answer.
The panel now shows Teach-back ready. The response field, timer, and local Whisper controls are available.
5. Submit and review¶
Write a response. A short, specific explanation is better than a long list of terms. Select Submit teach-back.
The result shows three separate signals:
- Orion rubric score;
- learner confidence from 1 to 5;
- agent proposal confidence.
These signals have different meanings. Do not treat them as one score.
6. Decide what to remember¶
Review the evidence. If the result is not accepted, choose one hypothesis. It is still editable. Choose one action:
- save the hypothesis;
- confirm the gap or correct the wording to activate memory;
- defer the decision to keep the hypothesis pending;
- dismiss the gap to close it.
An accepted result creates no gap and needs no memory decision. Only the learner's confirm or correct decision can activate memory.
7. Return and compare¶
After memory is confirmed, select Restart and retrieve. Orion uses the stored memory to change the next mission.
Open Twin galaxies to compare the memory-present path with the same-seed memory-deleted path.
8. Forget¶
Open Memory or Passport. Select the forget action. Confirm the action. The active memory becomes tombstoned and is not eligible for retrieval.
For a full learner reset, use Reset and forget.
